After an extensive and Indigenous-led design competition, an independent jury has selected a design concept for Calgary’s future Indian Residential School Memorial (IRSM). The City and The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland are pleased to share that The Wandering Spirit, presented by groundcubed with HEREBY and Adrian Stimson has been selected as the design concept for the future vision of the memorial. 

We are excited to announce that HEREBY was selected as a winner of the City of Calgary Winter City Design Competition. Dot Spot is a vibrant, interactive public art installation designed to playfully animate Calgary’s Riverwalk during the winter months. The interactive pavilion will be located along the Bow River at 6 Street SW and will be open from the beginning of February to mid April.

Dot Spot is more than an art installation—it’s a piece of interactive infrastructure that animates the winter landscape and brings Calgarians together.

We are thrilled to announce that our design for RiverWalk West has been awarded an RAIC National Design Award. The winner of the City of Calgary’s first public realm design competition, this proposal for the redevelopment of the south bank of the Bow River leverages a need for pathway connectivity to create a vibrant, inclusive public realm that responds to—and amplifies—its unique Bow River ecosystem context, while serving as a catalyst for broader civic transformation.
