HEREBY Architecture Designs Garage Suite for Edmonton's Standardized Missing Middle Housing Program

We are thrilled to share that HEREBY designed one of the seven homes in the City of Edmonton's new Standardized Missing Middle Design catalogue, released this October. Our contribution is a garage suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two parking stalls, designed to sit on a typical 50-by-120-foot lot.

The City commissioned the catalogue from architects across Western Canada with a simple goal: make it easier to build good missing-middle housing. Homeowners and builders can purchase a pre-reviewed design and receive priority permit review, saving time without giving up on quality. We're proud to be included alongside mddl, Formed Alliance Abstract Studio, D'Arcy Jones Architects, Sno Architecture and Two Row Architect.

Michael Zabinski represented HEREBY at the Edmonton Design Week panel on October 15, where the designs were unveiled with City Architect Carol Belanger and fellow designers from Two Row Architect and D'Arcy Jones Architects.
